Pula - Porec - Pula

Unbelievably the blog has cracked the 1000 page views ! ! !

Unbelievable until I realised that probably 50% to 60% of those were me checking to see how funny I've been.

Porec.
Porec today which is about 20km's up the road from Rovinj and like Rovinj it is built on a little peninsular.  Quite a spectacular little town and a nice day trip for us and my Aunty Marija.

Walked about a bit and had some coffees and then some lunch.  Lunch was good and reasonably cheap for a tourist town.

Mosaic outside of a church.
They have this little tradition that is nice here where when you have finished lunch or dinner they bring you an after dinner liqueur/fire-water on the house.

That's great except that when you've been watching how many beers you've had and haven't factored in a 400% alcoholic drink it can leave you a bit how-ya-going and hoping that the RBT don't operate during the day here in Croatia.

Stray observations:  Croatian coffee absolutely, hands down, without a shadow of a doubt kicks Italian coffee's arse.  (I should know I'm having about 5 a day.)

After dinner Rakija's may be dangerous to your driver's license.

Lunch near a playground - perfect.
