Singapore – Helsinki – Frankfurt – Heidleberg.

Tired and emotional
Arrived earlyish after what seemed an eternity on the plane but was in fact closer to 14 hours of flight time.  Rang our man who had our car and picked that up.

The Grand Kangoo!!

With only a profile a mother could love we were taken through the car’s features.

The car, like that large girl you once had “relations” with, has a “great personality”.

But I’m a family man now and we are the Griswold’s after all so off we headed for Heidleberg on our European Vacation.  “Yes Russ it does look like he’s going to pork her.”

The GRAND KANGOO.  Hello ladies!
Jetlagged and dealing with cyclone Ryan we walked around the old town of Heidleberg today.  We knew cyclone Ryan would be along at some stage but we weren’t exactly sure when it would cross the coast.

My money was on our second leg of the flight but fortuitously Ryan saved his best for the cobblestoned streets of Heidleberg where we weren’t confined in an aluminium coffin.

Like any slow moving natural disaster you just have to batten down the hatches and wait it out.  (To be fair to him it was a big trip across a dozen time zones so not completely unexpected. )

An uneventful day soaking up the local town atmosphere followed by an early night.

Stray observations:  140km/hr seems fast (yes the Grand Kangoo can go that fast thank you very much) on the autobahn until you are passed by BMW’s and Audi’s approaching the speed of light.
